As each piece is unique and created specifically for the person commissioning it, these Terms and Conditions explain how we work, what you can expect from us and what we ask from you throughout the process. They are intended to provide clarity, transparency and peace of mind for both parties.

1. Initial Enquiry

We begin with a conversation about your ideas, inspiration, preferred size, colours, materials, intended location and budget. This helps us understand your vision and determine whether we are the right fit for your project.

2. Design Consultation

Where appropriate, we will prepare sketches, concept drawings or digital visualisations to develop the design. During this stage, we welcome your feedback and will work with you to refine the proposal.

3. Quotation

Once the design has been agreed in principle, we will provide a written quotation detailing the scope of work, estimated completion time and payment schedule.

Unless otherwise stated, quotations remain valid for 30 days.

4. Deposit

A non-refundable deposit is required before any materials are ordered or work begins.

Receipt of the deposit confirms acceptance of both the quotation and these Commission Terms & Conditions.

5. Design Approval

Before construction begins, you will have the opportunity to approve the final design.

Please check all dimensions, colours, wording (where applicable) and specifications carefully. Once approval has been given and production has started, changes may not be possible or may incur additional costs and revised completion dates.

6. Creation

Your sculpture will be handcrafted using carefully selected materials and traditional craftsmanship.

Because every artwork is individually made, slight variations in timber grain, glass texture, colour and other natural characteristics are part of the unique beauty of the finished piece.

7. Completion and Delivery

When your sculpture is complete, we will contact you to arrange a mutually convenient delivery date.

As many of our sculptures are large, delicate or both, we normally deliver them personally to ensure they arrive safely.

Delivery charges are discussed and agreed separately before your commission is confirmed, as they vary depending on destination, accessibility and the size of the artwork.

8. Aftercare

We want your sculpture to be enjoyed for many years to come. Where appropriate, we will provide guidance on cleaning, handling and ongoing care.

1. Our Delivery Approach

At Kay Parker Art, every sculpture is individually handcrafted and many of our pieces are large, fragile and unique.

To help ensure your artwork arrives safely, we normally arrange and carry out delivery ourselves rather than using standard courier services.

2. Delivery Areas

We currently accept commissions and deliver within the United Kingdom only.

If you are located outside our usual delivery area, please contact us before placing an order and we will discuss whether delivery can be arranged.

3. Delivery Costs

Because every sculpture is different in size, weight, fragility and destination, delivery costs are calculated individually.

Delivery charges are not included in the quoted artwork price unless specifically stated.

We will discuss delivery requirements with you and agree the cost before your commission is confirmed.

4. Arranging Delivery

Once your sculpture is complete and full payment has been received, we will contact you to arrange a suitable delivery date.

We will provide an estimated delivery timeframe wherever possible.

Completion and delivery dates are estimates only and may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

5. Access Requirements

Before delivery, you must provide accurate information about the delivery location.

Please inform us of any circumstances that may affect safe delivery, including:

• narrow doorways or corridors;
• stairs or difficult access;
• limited parking;

1. Bespoke Artwork

At Kay Parker Art, every sculpture is individually designed and handcrafted specifically for each customer.

Because our work is made to your individual requirements, bespoke commissions are not treated in the same way as standard off-the-shelf products.

2. Cancellation Before Production Begins

If you wish to cancel a commission before production begins, please contact us as soon as possible.

Where cancellation is accepted, any refund will take into account reasonable costs already incurred, including:

• design work completed;
• materials purchased specifically for your commission;
• preparation work undertaken.

3. Cancellation After Production Begins

Once production has started, cancellation will normally not be possible because significant time, labour and materials will have been committed to creating your sculpture.

Deposits are non-refundable once work has commenced.

4. Changes to Your Commission

We welcome collaboration during the design stage.

Once final approval has been given and production begins, changes may not be possible. If changes can be accommodated, additional costs and revised completion times may apply.

5. Faulty or Incorrect Items

Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

If your sculpture is faulty, damaged, not as described or does not meet the requirements of UK consumer law, please contact us promptly.

We will work with you to resolve the issue in accordance with your legal rights.

6. Refunds

Where a refund is agreed, it will normally be made using the original payment method.

Refund timescales will depend on the circumstances and payment provider.

Caring for Your Bespoke Stained Glass and Wood Sculpture

Your sculpture has been individually handcrafted using carefully selected materials. With appropriate care, it should provide enjoyment for many years.

1. Handling

Please handle your sculpture with care.

Avoid lifting or moving the artwork by delicate areas, glass sections, decorative elements or unsupported components.

Where possible, move the sculpture with assistance appropriate to its size and weight.

2. Stained Glass Care

To maintain the beauty of the stained glass:

• clean gently with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth;
• avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals;
• do not apply pressure to glass panels or decorative sections;
• avoid sudden temperature changes where possible.

3. Wood Care

Wood is a natural material and will continue to change subtly over time.

Variations in grain, colour and texture are part of the character of natural timber.

To care for wooden elements:

4. Environment

Where possible, display your sculpture in an environment that avoids:

The remaining balance is payable before delivery unless otherwise agreed.

Delivery arrangements and costs are agreed individually with each client.
